NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF BUCHANAN, MICHIGAN

PLANNING COMMISSION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Buchanan Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on  Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Buchanan City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, Michigan 49107. The purpose of the public hearing is to hear public comments on the proposed comprehensive amendment to the Unified Development Code of the City of Buchanan, also referred to as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Buchanan. The proposed zoning ordinance is designed to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare, to encourage the use of lands in accordance with their character and adaptability.

At the hearing, all interested parties will be allowed to be heard. The proposed Zoning Ordinance can be found on our website, cityofbuchanan.com, or a copy can be obtained at City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107.

Written comments may also be submitted in advance of the meeting to Community Development Director Richard Murphy either by delivery to Buchanan City Hall or via email to rmurphy@cityofbuchanan.com.
