To the registered electors of the City of Buchanan, two (2) seats for a four (4) year term on the City Commission will be voted on during the General Election, Tuesday November 3, 2020. If you are interested in becoming a Buchanan City Commissioner, the last day to file Nominating Petitions in the City Clerk’s Office is Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Nominating Petitions, which shall contain no less than 6 or more than 20 signatures of qualified registered electors in the City, are available by appointment at City Hall, 302 N Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI. NOTICE TO BIDDERS - City of Buchanan Street Improvements Project Chip and Seal (Sealcoat), Fog and Mill Overlay
The CITY OF BUCHANAN will receive sealed bids for the above described project (labor, materials, and equipment) until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the office of the City Clerk, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107 until (time) on (date) at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after the above time and date will not be opened or considered. No oral, telephoned, faxed, or emailed bids will be considered. No changes to bids will be considered. This project is funded in part through a MDOT Transportation Economic Development Fund Grant Program. This project is divided into two parts: Part A is a chip and seal and fog seal of numerous streets in Buchanan and in Oak Ridge Cemetery as shown on the specification spreadsheet. Part B is a Mill and Overlay project on two streets in Buchanan as shown on the specification spreadsheet. The Specification spreadsheet is available on the City of Buchanan website at www.cityofbuchanan.com or from the office of the City Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org. Bidders may bid only on Part A or Part B, or both parts A and B. Questions about this project should be directed to Jadkerson@cityofbuchanan.com. Sealed bids may be delivered to the City Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Red Bud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107, Monday through Friday (except holidays) between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., or delivered to the attention of the City Clerk via the drop box at City Hall by 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of the bid opening.
