Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a quasi-judicial board authorized by Michigan Zoning Enabling Act - Act 110 of 2006 and the city's Unified Development Code (zoning ordinance). The board consists of five members appointed by the City Commission for three-year terms. The Board conducts public hearings on requests for dimensional variances, use variances and appeals of the zoning administrator's decision. Requests not approved by the ZBA may be appealed to the Berrien County Court system.
