2025 Leaf Pickup Begins October 20th
LEAF PICKUP BEGINS October 20th, 2025
The City of Buchanan will begin leaf collection; weather and volume dependent. As always, place your leaves on the tree lawn, not in the street, away from all obstacles. Placed below is the route we will follow.
There are no set times and dates we will be past your home, as volume, weather and breakdowns all play a factor in production. Last season we were able to make 5 full routes around and we are hoping to make that possible again this year. Daily production is tracked. If you have any further questions, please contact:

· Area 1 - Chippewa (Westside) Street – Remus, Lake(northern part), Harlan, Detroit(Northern part
· Area 2 - Chippewa (Eastside) Street – N. Cayuga, N. Detroit, Lake, Moccasin, N. Oak, Main, Short
· Area 3 - Dewey & Third – Ottawa & Ottawa Ridge, Miller, McCumber, Third, Fourth, Fifth
· Area 4 - W. Front St – Colonial, W. Roe, S. Cayuga, Willow, Polis, Glaser, Hillview, Hill, Terre Coupe
· Area 5 - Smith St to Redbud – Rynearson, Claremont, Liberty, Cecil, Sylvan, Berrien, Smith, E. Alexander, E. Chicago, Carroll,
· Area 6 - Schirmer Parkway – River, Moravia, Michigan, Victory, Commercial, Enterprise, Fulton, Arctic, Elizabeth, Bluff, Richards
· Area 7 - N to S Redbud – Jordan, Marble, Alexander, Central, Days, Oak, Chicago, S. Detroit, Maple, Whitman, Charles, Theoda, Clark, Roe
Brush and Leaf Bag Collection:
- Concludes by policy after an entire route is completed starting on October 6th, 2025. This allows our crews time for tree removal, leaf collection, and winter preparation. Brush and Bag Collection will resume on Monday April 6th, 2026, with routes starting the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month until October 2026.
