Call for Applicants for Boards
City of Buchanan Seeking Applicants for Boards and Commissions
The City of Buchanan is currently seeking residents interested in serving their community by volunteering on several City boards and commissions. These boards play an important role in advising City leadership, shaping local policy, and helping guide the future of Buchanan.
Openings are anticipated on several boards and commissions, which may include:
Planning Commission
Zoning Board of Appeals
Construction Board of Appeals
Buchanan Tree Friends
Buchanan Area Parks and Recreation Board
Other advisory boards as needed
Board and commission members provide valuable input on community planning, development, parks, and other civic matters. Serving on a board is an opportunity for residents to contribute their expertise, represent community interests, and help guide important decisions affecting the City.
Most boards meet monthly and appointments are made by the Board with approval of the City Commission.
