NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ENACTMENT

ORDINANCE NO. 2026.07/450

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BUCHANAN BY REPEALING CHAPTER 76, SIGNS, IN ITS ENTIRETY

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Commission of the City of Buchanan adopted Ordinance No. 2026.07/450 at its regular meeting held on July 13, 2026.

The ordinance repeals Chapter 76, Signs, of the City of Buchanan Code of Ordinances in its entirety. The purpose of the ordinance is to eliminate duplicate and potentially conflicting sign regulations following the adoption of the City’s Unified Development Code, which now contains the City’s applicable zoning and signage regulations.

The ordinance shall take effect on August 7, 2026, the fifteenth day following publication of this notice.
