Notice of Public Hearing: City Commission September 28, 2026, at 7:00 pm., Amendments to the Unified Development Code - Fencing, Lighting, Screening, and Landscape Standards

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Buchanan Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, September 28, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Buchanan City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, Michigan 49107.

The purpose of the public hearing is to hear public comments on proposed amendments to modify and establish regulations pertaining to Fencing, Lighting, Screening and Landscape Standards found in Sections 71-26, 71-27F and H, 71-28, 71-29, 71-32 pertaining to the Zoning Boad of Appeals and Article V Definitions associated with planter, fence yards and mechanical equipment and any other sections of the Unified Development Code that may be necessary.

At the hearing, all interested parties will have the opportunity to be heard. All materials concerning this request are available for public inspection at City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107, during normal business hours.

Written comments may also be submitted in advance of the meeting to the City Clerk, either by delivery to Buchanan City Hall or via email to clerk@cityofbuchanan.com before noon the day of the meeting.
