PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Commission of the City of Buchanan, Berrien County, Michigan, will consider the second reading and possible enactment of  Ordinance 2026.3/447 Regulation of Sidewalk Cafes and Outdoor Service Areas at its Regular Meeting to be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Buchanan City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, Michigan.

The proposed ordinance establishes regulations and a permit process for outdoor sidewalk cafés located within the City’s Downtown Zoning Districts, including standards for operation and public safety.

A copy of the proposed ordinance is available on the City’s website at www.cityofbuchanan.com or may be obtained at Buchanan City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, Michigan 49107, during regular business hours.
