NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF BUCHANAN, MICHIGAN
CITY COMMISSION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Buchanan City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on a proposed ordinance 2026.07/450 to amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Buchanan by repealing Chapter 76, Signs, in its entirety, on Monday, June 8th, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Buchanan City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, Michigan 49107.

The proposed ordinance repeals Chapter 76, Signs, of the City of Buchanan Code of Ordinances in its entirety. The purpose of the proposed ordinance is to eliminate duplicate and potentially conflicting sign regulations from the City Code following the adoption of the City’s Unified Development Code, which now contains the City’s applicable zoning and signage regulations.

At the meeting, all interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available for public inspection at Buchanan City Hall, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, Michigan 49107, during regular business hours.
