STATE PRIMARY ELECTION
TO BE HELD TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026

To the qualified electors of the City of Buchanan:

NOTICE OF REGISTRATION

Please take notice that any qualified elector of the City of Buchanan who is not already registered may register to vote at the office of the Buchanan City Clerk, the office of the Berrien County Clerk, a Secretary of State branch office, or another designated state agency. Registration forms may be obtained at the Buchanan City Clerk’s Office or at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Buchanan City Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration with their local clerk or at www.expressSOS.com.

The last day to register in any manner other than in person with the local clerk is Monday, July 20, 2026. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency, as provided by MCL 168.492, at the Buchanan City Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107, through 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

The Buchanan City Clerk will be available to receive voter registrations on Election Day, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that a State Primary Election will be held in the City of Buchanan, Berrien County, Michigan, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The City of Buchanan polling locations are as follows:

Precinct 1
City of Buchanan City Hall
302 N. Redbud Trail
Buchanan, MI 49107

Precinct 2
Redbud City Center
131 S. Oak Street
Buchanan, MI 49107

The election will be held for the purpose of nominating candidates for Governor, United States Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, local offices, and to elect Precinct Delegates.

The full text of any ballots may be obtained at the City of Buchanan Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107, and may also be available on the City of Buchanan website at www.cityofbuchanan.com. Sample ballots may be viewed at mi.gov/vote.

EARLY VOTING

During Early Voting, Saturday, July 25, 2026, through Sunday, August 2, 2026, polls for all City of Buchanan electors will be located at:

July 25: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
July 26: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
July 27: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
July 28: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
July 29: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
July 30: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
July 31: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
August 1: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
August 2: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Absentee ballots are available for all elections. Registered voters may contact the Buchanan City Clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot.

To comply with the Help America Vote Act, voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining instructions in these alternative formats may be made by contacting the City Clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
