Notice of Election

To the qualified electors of the Cities and Townships in the Lake Michigan College School District, Counties of Allegan, Berrien and Van Buren, State of Michigan, notice is hereby given that the SPECIAL ELECTION will be held in the following precincts on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

THERE IS NO EARLY VOTING IN ALLEGAN, BERRIEN, AND VAN BUREN COUNTIES FOR THE NOVEMBER 4, 2025 ELECTION.

BERRIEN COUNTY: On Election Day, Tuesday, NOVEMBER 4, 2025, polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and that day the election will be held at the following locations:

BUCHANAN CITY

Pct 1  City Hall – 302 N Red Bud Trail, Buchanan

Pct 2  Red Bud City Center – 131 South Oak St, Buchanan

For the purpose of voting on the following proposals:

  1. LAKE MICHIGAN COLLEGE CHARTER MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSITION FOR OPERATING AND GENERAL PURPOSES $0.6655 ON EACH $1,000 OF TAXABLE VALUATION FOR TWENTY (20) YEARS
  2. LAKE MICHIGAN COLLEGE CHARTER MILLAGE RENEWAL AND REDUCTION PROPOSITION FOR CAPITAL PURPOSES $0.24 ON EACH $1,000 OF TAXABLE VALUATION FOR TEN (10) YEARS

Persons with special needs, as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act, should contact their city/township clerk.  

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the city/township clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.

Absentee Voter ballots are available through your local city or township clerk’s office.
