Disposition And Redevelopment Of City Owned Lots

The City of Buchanan invites proposals from qualified individuals, nonprofit organizations, private developers, and other interested parties for the purchase and redevelopment of twelve (12) City-owned vacant lots located within the community. These properties represent a unique opportunity to support new investment, encourage infill development, and contribute to the long-term vitality of Buchanan neighborhoods. While the City will consider proposals for any lawful use, there is a strong preference for proposals that include a residential development component, particularly housing that is affordable to Buchanan’s workforce.

In order to be considered, the proposal must be received at the City of Buchanan, 302 N Redbud Trail, Buchanan MI 49107, on or before January 28, 2026 by 10:00am. All proposals shall be in a sealed package marked: ATTN: BID – City Lots
