Bills are mailed the first week of the month and due the day before the last business day of the month. Late payments are assessed a 10% penalty fee. Water Department - Operator in Charge
Scott Desenberg has been with the Water Department since June of 2012. He is a lifelong Buchanan resident, having graduated with honors from Buchanan High School in 1993. Scott earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, from Central Michigan University in 1998, and spent 12 years teaching high school mathematics and coaching football, mostly at Eau Claire High School in Eau Claire, Michigan. While teaching, Scott earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. He lives with his wife, Sheri, on Main Street, with their daughter, Brinna and son, Brooks.
An avid outdoorsman, Scott enjoys hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, mushroom hunting, and making maple syrup. He also loves being involved with his kids, whether it’s coaching T-Ball or floor hockey, or selling Girl Scout Cookies or just going for a walk in the woods with them.
