BUCHANAN'S GETTING A NEW FIRE TRUCK JULY 2010. WATCH IT BEING BUILT.

Buchanan City Fire Department is located in the Southwest corner of lower Michigan. Our department is limited to 23 paid on call members at the present time there are 17 highly trained professionals and 3 Cadets. We cover the City of Buchanan, which is 5 square miles and the population of 4,681 residents.

Our Department averages 55 to 60 calls per year, we do not run medical calls. We have a ISO rating of 5 which is very good for volunteer Department. Our command consists of a Chief, Assistant Chief, 2 Captains, and 1 Lieutenant.

The department has 2 pumper trucks, 1 75 foot arial truck, and 2 utility trucks.

Our department is currently seeking volunteers that are dedicated to give to the community.
